Dragonflyer Newsletter # 30

Sept. 2010

These garden fresh veggies and limes on our new tile counter top are
the basis of the new Eat Phoenix Food pesto video.

Aloha Dragonflyers,

With some help from new team players, fueled with wheat grass juice galore, we have exciting new things happening. We are upgrading, updating and refreshing over here in more ways than one!

1. Sam, from Boston area, and Akamai "the wheatgrass juice man".
2. Sam trying wheatgrass for the first time.
3. His green smile says he likes the taste!

As you may have heard in my last news blast, I am happy to say that I have chosen to keep the Dragonfly. Throughout the possible sales process we received prayers, encouragement and blessings from many of you that assisted in the decision to continue--with doors wide open for workshops as well as for great guests. With the strong support of wonderful new Dragonflyers on the team, as well as Phoenix returning from Peru in fine fiddle, we are having a blast with food, fun, lots of music and videos and loving animals.

We are excited and grateful for the support that we continue to receive. With the amazing people that are assisting here now with social media, we're able to make videos and internet radio communications connecting us with the vast possibilities opened by social media that allow us to serve more people on this planet with aspirations for making earth a more joyful and peaceful place. Below, my Facebook “facelifts”—for me as well as the ranch.

You're invited to become my friend on facebook

The Power of Ping (thepowerofping.com) is a group of young, vibrant entrepreneurs who have been staying at the Dragonfly Ranch. They have dedicated themselves to the purpose of shifting the ways the world communicates, and they've given us a new outlook on the potentials in using social media.

One reason I decided to not sell is because my landlords (Kamehameha Schools), kindly granted me a more affordable AGRICULTURAL standing—something I have been

requesting during the last 5 years of negotiations! As a result, we will be increasing the farming here at the Dragonfly Ranch. Right now, we're planting organic, non-GMO papayas! (Read my blog post where “Hawaiian papaya” is listed as one of the 7 dangerous GMO foods to avoid.) Imagine, enjoying the ripe juiciness of a Dragonfly grown, tree-ripened, GMO-free sunrise papaya while you soak in the views here at the Dragonfly Ranch. By the way, we have room for receiving support for the farming aspect of the Dragonfly (as well as maintaining the temple), so if you know anyone who would like to be of assistance, feel free to have them contact me directly.Today, we briefly want to tune you into some of the latest news here at the Dragonfly Ranch.

It was merely more confirmation of their wonderfulness when I learned that members of the Ping Team are also interested in becoming trained facilitators of the Pachamama Alliance. We'll be hosting an "Awakening The Dreamer, Changing the Dream" event here at the Dragonfly in November.

I love the Pledge on the Pachamama card: A George Bernard Shaw quote on one side begins:

"This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one."

On the other side it says:

"I am committed to bringing forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on this planet as an idea whose time has come."

I encourage you to attend a Pachamama event near you wherever you live. There is hope for our planet! (www.pachamama.org)

As you finish reading this letter and begin to get a hint of what’s happening at the Dragonfly, please keep your eyes open for the email I'll be sending in the next couple of days. The Power of Ping team wants to share something with you directly that I believe will be of importance to you. An example of their work here is this really cool video they created for Phoenix. He is toying with the idea of creating a fun and informative new cooking show: EAT PHOENIX FOOD! Please let us know if you are interested.

Here is a little treat to go with your morning coffee: It turns out, coffee is the number one source of antioxidants in the American diet. Articles extoling coffee's virtues abound. But wait - the story gets better. A team of scientists came up with a patented process that delivers 5 times the antioxidants of normal coffee. That's right, five times the antioxidants in Asantae coffee than normal coffee. And, it's certified organic too!

Laura and Phoenix before Asantae coffee.   Out of the doldrums and into Asantae, whee!

We've set up a web page so you can get a free sample. Go to goodlifejava.com fill out the form (put dragonflyer as referrer) and we'll send you a free sample so you can experience just how tasty health can be.

I'm thrilled that not only can I now drink coffee but also that when I do, I know that it is good for me. Please feel free to call me (808 328 2159) about this new "find" that supports your good health while you support the Dragonfly by purchasing through our site.

Have a day full of good health, hearty laughter and fun! And a cup of good-for-you COFFEE!
