Blessed with an ideal location, this peaceful country estate is near the ancient Place of Refuge National Historical Park and five beautiful bays. The Kona Coast is an ocean-lover's paradise (with Spiner dolphins, tropical fish, coral, turtles and whales) -- where people are full of Aloha and time is slow and easy. The elevation is ideal (about 700 feet) and the temperature is almost always 72 degrees with lots of sunshine, very little wind, and limited rain.

Free spirited adventurers may wish to attend or lead workshops/retreats at the Dragonfly.

Perhaps you want to get your hands in the soil helping us develop a self-sustaining farm using ancient Hawaiian agricultural practices combined with permaculture. Permaculture Aloha Aina (love of the land) teaches us to give to the land before taking from the land.

The Dragonfly Ohana (family) invites you to participate in our organic garden, sharing meals, doing movement exercises, preparing fresh food, meditating, learning about lomilomi (the ancient Hawaiian rejuvenation treatment), and using flower essences (for soul development).

For those who wish to swim with dolphins, we gladly accompany you to nearby bays where we familiarize you with respectful "dolphin etiquette."

In my growing up years in Southern California, I lived in a love-filled home that my mother built with her mother. It seemed only appropriate for my mother to help me build my home in Hawaii, now The Dragonfly Ranch: HEALING ARTS RETREAT. Creating this nurturing environment has been my life's work.

In 1980, I had a spiritual awakening at the Temple of Abydos on "The Journey of Transformation" with Jean Houston. I got a distinct message that my home was to be used as a center for growth and transformation, especially for healers and creative artists. When I returned from Egypt, I expanded my SwissFamilyRobinson-style home into a 5 bedroom B&B.

One of my greatest joys is having the opportunity to share with my guests the amazing healing experience of playful dolphins that like to swim with us in nearby bays. These Spinner dolphins, like my Pomeranians, beam tranformative love energy.

After learning another powerful healing modality with the Flower Essence Society in Nevada City, I experienced a "command dream" about making Hawaiian orchid flower essences. As an agricultural experiment I built a rainbow cathedral "Illuminarium" to grow these orchids interactively with movement therapy. I created a colorful labyrinth for centering and focusing positive energies. Relating to the orchids elevates our consciousness as we create powerful orchid flower essences. While crafting my gigantic tree house, I learned how to work in harmony with the land, combining permaculture with ancient Hawaiian "AlohaAina"--love of the land. Lately I have felt more "on purpose," using the Dragonfly to fulfill it's potential as a center for sharing the Aloha message while hosting symposiums, retreats, workshops, and weddings as well as providing a safe haven for individuals seeking peace, creativity, greater health and spiritual awareness.

Here in South Kona near the ancient "Place of Sanctuary," the true Hawaiian lifestyle has been preserved. Hand and hand with Hawaiians, we respectfully maintain the Spirit of Aloha.

When I was 30, I was blessed to be trained in Lomilomi ( sacred rejuvenation treatment) by Kahuna "Aunty Margaret" Machado. Gratefully perpetuating this ancient art is an important mission in my life.

After 30 years in Hawaii, I deeply appreciate its people and culture. The time has come to create "The Foundation for the Preservation of Hawaiian Healing Arts." Sharing Hawaiian wisdom, we can potentially understand that we are the Ohana (family) of the world. I pray daily for assistance in this effort during these critical times.

I am always open to having people of high integrity assist me with my work at the Dragonfly. As a harmonious family, a few select people join me at the Dragonfly, having fun while serving others.
